256 GRAYS - PROJECT FOLDER TEMPLATE
====================================

HOW TO USE
----------
1. File every job by financial year. Our year runs April to March
(the Indian financial year), so a job started in mid 2026 lives at:

        2026\PROJECT_NAME\

Create a folder for the year, then drop a copy of PROJECT_NAME inside
it and rename PROJECT_NAME to the actual job name.

2. Duplicate or rename the area folders (LIVING_ROOM, DINING_ROOM, and so
on) to match the rooms in your project. The example areas here are only
   a starting point.

THE STRUCTURE
-------------
01_BRIEF The brief, plus the CAD and references it arrived with.
              CAD architect drawings
              REFERENCES style and mood images

02_3D One folder per area, each holding its own .max file
              (LIVING_ROOM.max, DINING_ROOM.max, ...). One scene per room
keeps files light and lets two artists work at once.

03_TEXTURES Custom maps only. Most textures live in the shared library
on the server, so these folders stay empty unless a job needs
              something made specially for it.

04_RENDER Output by stage: GREY_VIEWS, 1ST_CUT, 2ND_CUT, FINAL.
Each stage holds the same area folders.

05_POST Comp and retouch, a folder per area, each with its own
              DRAFT, 1ST_CUT, 2ND_CUT and FINAL.

06_DELIVERY What the client receives.

07_ARCHIVE Where a finished job is packed away.

ARCHIVING
---------
Keep a finished project on the main server for about two years, then move
it to the archive NAS to free fast server space. Archive, never delete.
